Where Milton Street (formerly and amusingly known as Grub Street) and Chiswell Street meets, in the Whitbread brewery’s original home (c.1748), Chiswell Street Dining Rooms evokes an atmosphere of abundant good times.

Reminiscent of a modern day drawing room, the wooden panelled dining room is smart, handsome and adorned with literary inspired art. In a palate of creams, greens and golds, stylish leather tub chairs and luxurious banquettes exude vintage class.

The West End’s new dining destination for those with adventurous tastes, Hankies is no ordinary eatery. In a distinguished setting of warm wood, soft leather and glinting copper, it’s a faithful homage to authentic Indian street food. Named after the classic roti, hand spun until thin enough to read through and folded into a ‘hanky’, this is the place to experience inventive flavour combinations in signature delicacies like truffle naan and yellow crab and duck egg curry. Succulent spiced grills are also a speciality, and there’s an impressive selection of Indian beers, spirits and world wines.
