Small but spirited, Hankies is an irresistible new take on authentic Indian street food, serving roomali roti with an array of delicious accompaniments. To eat here is to experience a slice of Indian life, as the classic hand spun roti is cooked on a burning hot roomali tawa and skillfully folded into the eponymous ‘hankies’. Succulent spiced grills, signature dry curries and pan fries add variety. With an equally authentic selection of Indian beers, spirits and cocktails, Hankies is also the perfect spot for pre-theatre drinks.

In the morning the Arno dining room offers an excellent breakfast, consisting of a large selection of sweet and savory products with a gluten-free (AIC) option provided in a separate area. The wide variety of the buffet meets the needs of those who follow particular medical, ethical or religious diets

The Lounge Bar is the perfect place to have an aperitif, sip cocktails and drinks, eat pizza and sandwiches, but also taste our chef’s dishes in a pleasant and informal setting.

The hotel’s restaurants provide 24-hour service upon request to reception for non-regular time slots with fast-food recommendations.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 until 10:00 am. The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and again from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

Linden Tree Bar & Restaurant

Nestled among the estate’s soaring linden trees, the multi-levelled interior has been designed to accommodate glass walls, wide skylights and floor to ceiling windows – cleverly positioned to frame the unusual trees from every aspect of the bright interior.

Enjoy dishes prepared using the very best of local Kildare produce and a diverse range of Irish cuisine focusing on artisan food producers. From contemporary to more traditional dishes featuring mouth-wateringly fresh seafood, tender meats and tempting desserts – all imaginatively served to complement an extensive wine list.

During the Carton House Restoration Project 2020, the Linden Tree will be the primary bar and dining outlet within the hotel. The Carriage House, located in the golf courtyard is also a must-see during your stay, offering a more casual dining and beverage experience. 

Gather your friends and family together for that well overdue catch-up and indulge in afternoon tea at Carton House. Served in the beautiful Linden Tree Restaurant with our magnificent gardens serving as a backdrop, enjoy a range of bite size sandwiches, freshly baked scones with home-made preserves and clotted cream along with a selection of mini seasonal desserts prepared by our in-house pastry team. Choose from a wide selection of tea and coffee or treat yourself to a little glass of bubbly or a cocktail from our extensive range and as you dine, admire the landscape of our resort.

Overlooking Herbert Park, the Pavilion Restaurant is a bright and spacious dining area taking in the wonderful views of leafy Herbert Park. We offer full Irish breakfast buffet daily. Table d’hote Lunch Menu and evening A La Carte Dinner Menu both are available in the Pavillion Restaurant.
